Stanton and Mary Jane are my gt gt grandparents, son Harry, Son Harry Gene, son Richard, daughter Lurale, so I would be interested in any information you may have that I don't. I do have the book on Thomas Brumfield published in the 60's, and my parents did some extra searching. I have letters Stanton wrote to Mary Jane during the civil war. In a letter dated 12/4/1864 from Camp Douglas-Chicago he writes: "You can tell Elizabeth that I will pay my share towards getting some tomb stones for Sarahs grave if she and I have to buy them alone I will pay half the bill. I am glad you are getting Netti some tomb stones." I do not know who Sarah or Nettie are or if they are the same person. Also Stanton had a sister named Elizabeth & one named Sarah. Lurale
