Only indirectly. If Joel/Joseph is the son of James Brumfield, who was son of Joel Brumfield and Jennie, then Joel Brumfield who was married to Jennie was a brother to my Obediah Brumfield who married Catherine Thornton. I started a Brumfield database about 10 years ago and try to find some info on the Brumfield's that were orginally in Kentucky.
