Leah's obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, February 1,1907. (daughter of Daniel & Catherine (Albaugh) Burrier

Leah Burrier was born April 12, 1833, and died January 24, 1907; was married to George Sheperd in 1851, to which union was born one daughter, Mrs. Oliver Drake of Minerva. Who with three daughters mourn the loss of a mother and grandmother. Mr. Sheperd died in 1854. In 1864 she was married to Samuel Burrier who with one daughter, Mrs. S. E. Busler is left to mourn the loss of a husband affectionate wife and mother. Mrs. Burrier was for many years a member of the M. E. Church. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Oliver Drake of Minerva and daughter Mrs. Dennis of Canton, Joseph Burrier and wife of Carrollton, Mrs. Beatty, William Harding, Mrs. Hugh Amos and George Burrier and family of Kilgore. J. M. Burrier and daughters, Berget and Nadine of Scroggsfield. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Pettay in the U. B. Church Saturday morning. Interment in town cemetery.

Mrs. Samuel Burrier died at her home in Harlem Springs Thursday morning about 7 o'clock, after a severe and long continued illness with dropsy. She had been confined to a chair for weeks. Her age was about 75. She had two children --- Mrs. Henry Drake of Minerva and Mrs. Frank
Busler of Harlem. These, with the husband, survive. The interment will take place Saturday. Rev. Petty will conduct the funeral, deceased having been a member of the M. E. Church.

The Samuel Leah married second to was her second cousin. He was the son of Henry Burrier and Margaret Slates. I also direct descend from Henry and Margaret's daughter Samantha. I have two Burrier lines.
