Pearl, Thank you so much for the information. Where did you find the marriage record for Rachel and Samuel. I have 2 very conflicting issues now with this marriage. Originally I had from family, that her name was Rachel Pearce. Then from a book I found her name to be Mary Ann Pearce and now you are saying Rachel Richards. I will have to verify the dates to see if there is a possibility that he was married twice, one being Mary Ann and the other being Rachel. The other solution could be that there are 2 Samuel's and they are both being identified as having the same children. Do you have a actual copy of this marriage record from Samuel and Rachel Richard? If not I am going to order the LDS microfilm and obtain copies. I also plan to order the film to obtain copies of all the births of the children. I have all the information on the family after they arrived in America. Thanks so much. meg
