My grandfather was Michael Carrubba, married to Josephine Inturissi. They came from the province of Syracuse, Sicily. I think he said he lived in Catania. When he first came to this country he went to live with his brotherinlaw in New Britain Ct. Unable to find work he went to Pennsylvania to work in the rolling mills. He didn't say, but perhaps he had relatives there.When a job opened up at a ball bearing plant in New Britain, Ct. He moved back and sent for my grandmother, my aunt Concetta and my mother Raphaella. Several aunts and uncles were born in this country, among them, Paul, Salvatore and Santina, also Michalena.
