Jerry, Glad to hear that the information may be of some use. When I saw the note that Charles Cavenah's will named Thomas Pollard as his brother-in-law, something just didn't sound right. The transcript that I have was written back in the 1940s, but it seems consistent with those abstracts that I've seen published in book form: all give Memorial's last name as Pollard with no mention of his wife and Mary Cavenah's will names her cousins as the children of Thomas Pollard. For those connected to his family, it would probably be worthwhile to send for a copy of the will. I don't know if the Archives in Raleigh would have a copy, but would think that the Edgecombe courthouse would. Good luck, Scott
