I am a decendant of the Cavanagh's of Roscrea, Tipperary who came to Ormstown, Quebec about 1820. I would think that some of this large family moved on to NY, although there are still quite a few Cavanagh's in Ormstown, as well as Roscrea. I have copies of marriage certificates, births, baptisms, deaths, etc. for this family through the 1800's, but am not sure if they relate to your family - although I have been told that all the Cavanagh's are related.
