Dear Mr. Protzmann, I am searchimg for my ancestors. My name SCHIMBENO is a change of the name Chenebenoist, Chesnebenoit, Jeanbenoit, Chesubenoit to Schembeno and Schimbeno. They were Hugenots. They came from Chateau Thiery near Paris to Palatinate/Germany. They lived in Frankenthal, Heidelberg, Fußgönnheim and Ellerstadt. Some of Schimbeo and Schembeno imigrate to US about 1779 and 1830??? Do you have any idea if they are relatives to Champenois??? Michael Schimbeno
