Martin, There is a Kobel/Coble family that came to Pa in the early 1800's. The father Elias Kobel was born in FRance, but they were German speaking Lutherans and settled in Lancaster County, Pa. My great uncle told me that two brothers came together and one went south. I am particularly interested in your first name because there are many Martin Cobles in this family going back to my great great grandfather who was a son of Elias. Cindy Grill
