My great great grandfather John Cochrane born in Scotland in 1823 or 1824 was married to an Elizabeth Mackin 1852 at St. Anne's Church in Montreal. In 1860 I believe they were living in Arkansas and son William was born. After that I have found William (who also met and married his wife, Martha Griffin, in Montreal 1887 Church of Ireland )and John residing in New York City. John died in NY May 1901. William May 1920. Not sure if John had a brother James or if this is the right time period.
