Since your dates seem to be recent, it appears you need some basic genealogy search. Check first in the counties where they lived if possible and gather some death, marriage, or birth records as well as check the courts. Since you mention Louisiana, I suspect these are not my folks, but many of the folks on this board do have Cockerham families in that area. Best of luck with your search.
