Mark Gonder,b. 30 Aug 1778 NC, married Elizabeth Evans bef. 1805, dau. of James Evans and Lucy Savage. Family Bible record of Elizabeth 'Abby' Gonder Kelley, has her birth date as 19 Mar 1754, then has Mark's b.d., she married Lloyd Kelley abt 1780, from dates of her children's birth. The only Gonder's I found in NC, in 1790 Mecklenburg Co., NC. Lewis and George, then found marriage record for George Gunter/Gonter to Abby Alkins/Atkins 3 Aug 1774 Rowan Co., NC. With further search found this George in Family records to be, Johannes Konder to Aby Atkins 3 Aug 1774. Does any one have more info. on the above. Further names assoc. with my Gonder's that settled in Hancock Co., Georgia are: Kelley/Kelly, Evans/Evins, Waller, Morris, Gardner, Latimer, Taylor, Gause, Reaves, Neel, Vinson, Smythe. Further note there was an Abe Gonder granted land in Hancock Co.600 acres in 1786. Also the earliest year I found info. on Mark Gonder is 1802 in Hancock Co. Michelle King Haessly
