Thanks for the response. I have Wiley's death certificate, which clearly identifies his parents as Covel Crew and Narssisa Parker. The informant is their daughter Narssisa. This is a collateral line for me, but I am finding it interesting. I really haven't pursued his ancestry, but it sounds like you may have identified the family - based on naming patterns and location. It is interesting that Covel was in the Gold Rush. I wondered why Narssisa was with her parents in 1850 so that solves that. The daughter Narssisa is buried in Harrisburg Cemetery where her parents are so she apparently was unmarried when she died (1936 I think?). Do you have any idea what happened to her sister Etta? I haven't found a marriage record nor any record of a burial in Boone Co. I must confess I haven't looked terribly hard! My husband descends from Mildred, the sister of Wiley P. Crews' wife, Mary Frances Stewart. Mildred married Lavan Shearin, lived in KY, bor seven children, and then went off to the wilds of ID, where she married (?) three more times, and ultimatedly died in WA. She lived quite an interesting life!
