My great-great-great-grandfather was named Samuel Crews. He was a doctor in Tennessee. He had a son named David Crews who moved to Buda,Tx. David's son, Steven Edgar Crews, moved to the Kenedy/Karnes City area and had 4 boys and 2 daughters. I am the grandson of one of the boys Calloway Crews. I have a great-uncle David Crews who keeps tabs on our genealogy. I'll ask him if he can shed any light on the question you posted.
