GETS FREE TRIP TO CALIFORNIA
Bakersfield, Nov. 22,- Ransome C. Crockett, held in Providence, R.I. on a forgery warrant issued in Kern County two years ago, "probably wants a free ride back to California," Sheriff Cas Walser said today. Crockett's purported story at Providence of $15,000 forgery here is a fabrication, Sheriff Walser said. The man is wanted for alleged forgeries approximately $500, according to the Sheriff, who said either himself or a deputy will go east to return Crockett here.
