I have check Kathryn Jones' census records. She shows Elizabeth Crockett (1840, age 10, Ms) and Anthony Crockett (1842, age 8 Ms) in the hh of James Rols, (age 30, Ms) and wf Mary, ( 32, Ms. ) in the 1850 census for Hinds Co Ms. She did not include any note speculating on the family of these Crocketts. I tried to find the discussion which Don Maring says he was sending to the rootsweb Crockett list, but I was unable to find it. It is important to keep in mind that the Prince Edward Co Crockett families, from which Col. Anthony Crockett, later of Ky, originates, have not been sorted out adequately. There are a number of families there and they may not even all be related. Further, DNA shows that the family of Col. Anthony Crockett is related to the families of Joseph & Samuel Crockett, of Augusta/Wythe Co Va. I would love to get a handle on this Anthony Crockett, since it might help sort the P. Ed Co families.
