hi jim
thank you for the reply
i guess maybe we are not related. its funny to hear that there are many cunnanes in your area that you are not related to. because from my stand point ive never heard of anyone else having the same last name. my mom and i are in need of finding any family members out there. it has always been my mom and i. no one else. and have never known any other cunnanes. its time to find my other side of family. because my fathers side is toast. i would just like to know how it feels to have a family around. mom and i are too small of a family. it gets lonely. i will pass on a few names to see if anything rings a bell. my moms fathers name is john cunnane, he married a well to do girl by the name of evelynn engler. in around 56. they had my mom and the marriage was very short. this took place in lumby bc. seemed they married for the sake of the my mom who was on the way because back then it was the propper thing to do. he was known to be the proverbial "drunken irishmen" liked his drinks i guess. then it was like poof gone. never knew of him again. where he came from i believe was a county in ireland. my grandmother would never elaborate about him and now she has passed on. gee cant even say much more. that man had to of had parents and brothers and sisters who now have children i just cant seem to find anything though. im sure if i knew how to use the internet more it would help. so if anything rings a bell or you know of .anyone who might know more, keep in touch please and thank you again for your reply.
