Greetings from Illinois, I also have William Armstrong Davis and Nancy A. Danley as ancestors; they're my g-g-grandparents. I have been stumped for years finding anything new on the Danley side, but only today started researching the line again. I know that Nancy was born in Missouri Territory prior to statehood. I also found the Land Patients you mentioned, but I could never find a definitive connection between James & Edmund! I'm beginning to think they might be one in the same person?? They, or he, appeared in the 1830 & 1840 census for Wayne County, but I couldn't find them after that!! I always figured the Danley's moved on to 'greener pastures' somewhere. Thanks for listing Nancy's birth date; I only had the year! I have quite a bit of information on our John & Jane (Young) Davis line that immigrated from Wythe County Virginia, to Wayne County Missouri, but it sounds as though you have alot on the Davis line also! Nearly twenty years ago I transcribed the document from the Wythe County Virginia courthouse, dated July 31, 1829, concerning the sale of John Davis' land there before moving to Missouri.
