Hi Jill:
Nobody said this search to connect James DEATH 1660-1742 to the other DEATHS in England would be easy. There are a number of people in England working on this for us. Patience is the keyword here. Right now we are focusing in on one particular DEATH family who may be the parents of James DEATH 1660-1742. That family is Thomas D'AETH 1630-1708 and his wife Elhana ROLT 1650-?. Thomas was associated with the British East India Co in London. He was a prosperous and wealthy merchant based at St. Giles near Cripplegate. He would have been the great grandson of William DEATH 1527-1590. His wife Elhana ROLT was christened Oct 25, 1650 at Milton Ernest, Bedfordshire. She was the daughter of Sir John ROLT of Milton Ernest, Bedfordshire. He was christened Feb 24, 1616 in Milton Ernest, Bedfordshire. I have the family history center in London doing some research as well as the Guildhall Library which holds many of the archives for both these parish areas. It takes a lot of time and effort to locate these records and then connect these people together. We will find our James DEATH'S family. I might also add that there is an individual looking into the Emmigration records in London to try and locate records on when the three DEATH brothers applied for emmigation to the America in 1742. Thank you for your reply. GENE
