Stephen, I'm actually not a Dickensheets. I started researching the genealogy thinking that one of my relatives was the (illigitimate) child of a Dickensheets, but by the time I found out that I wasn't, I was already hooked. Because it is such an unusual name (compared to Johnson!) it is so much easier to find information, and the information is so neat. If Diellman was traveling on his own, his own family (wife, kids, parents) probably came after him. How exciting. I'd love any information that you have, so that I can put it in my website. Also, I'm moving to Europe, and plan to continue my research there. I hope to be able to gain more info on the family. Do you have any idea when Robert Sr. would have been born? I found a bit of information on two Robert W.'s and want to try to match up the dates. Tiffany
