Thansk for your reply, however,I am looking for more information about the Thomas, who died in Canada in 1823. in Howard township, Kent County, Ontario. Specifically a record of his death, or obituary. He had joined the Methodist Church. I do not believe this Thomas, son of Joseph Doan Sr. and Hester Vickers was the father of Tamar. Because some records say he died in Canada. Tamar's father, (Thomas whom we believe was the son of Titus) was alive in 1850, and living with her and her 2nd husband, James Phipps,and their family. Thomas son of Titus was one of the Seven Sons of Crowland. who had migrated from Pennsylvania to New Jersey and then to Ontario, He married Mary Millard, and was the father of Tamar and Jesse Doan born in Canada.
