I've already posted this, but it was buried in the 1999 files. Sorry if this constitutes a double posting. I've just learned of 2 "possible" Doan connections to my family. My 4g grandfather, Benjamin Kinsey had been accused of abetting Joseph Doan Jr. (the outlaw) in Bucks County at the time of Joseph's trial in 1784. There is no record of this being brought up at the trial, but since there was an accusation at the time, it seems to me, the Doans and Kinseys were known to be a bit more than casual acquaintances. Benjamin Kinsey, married Dorothy Doan in 1780 (the year Abraham Doan comitted murder). I have yet to find anything about Dorothy or her parents, but chances are, she was somehow related to the infamous Doan family. Joseph Doan Jr. showed up in Ontario Canada in 1790 and Benjamin and Dorothy moved from Bucks County to Ontario around 1795. Their son, Zenas Kinsey (b 1793), also married a Doan, Rachel, the daughter of Joseph Doan Jr. Now here's why I quoted the word "possible" at the beginning of all this. My 2g grandfather's name is also "Zenas"(b 1817), lived in the same Ontario county, but so far, I've been unsuccessful in finding my Zenas' (Zenas-2) parents. Zenas-1 (Rachel's Zenas) would have been 24 years old when Zenas-2 was born. Everything seems to be pointing toward a double Doan connection to my family, but I don't have the resources to dig deeper. Does anyone have any information about Dorothy Doan, or the children of Rachel Doan that might be able to help me make (or not make) a connection? Thank you, bfk
