Hi, I am looking for a birthdate on John Crosby Phipps who married Nancy Still in Stubenville Ohio,1813. Does anyone know if there is any truth in the story that the Phipps lived next to the Grant family (as in U.S. Grant)? The story I got from my great grandmother Susie Fipps was that James and Ulysses got into a fight as boys and a broken nose was involved.
