I had a Great Uncle Johnny Fitzmaurice who was a police captain at the Fillmore Police District in Chicago. He passed away about 5 years ago in his 90s. I don't know about most of his cases or his contacts with Capone, but it would make sense if he was involved due to the timeframe. My Grandmother was Lucille Fitzmaurice, who married Edward Gorman, and the siblings names I recall off hand besides Johnny are Cornelius (Connie), Jim, and Bernice (though there were several more).
