Hello again! John Folkard of Framlingham Hall 1742 - 1823 married 1764 Mary Manthorp (1740 - 1776) and had Daniel Folkard, Silversmith and Pawnbroker 1769 - 1833 (asked in his Will to be buried in the graveyard of St Martin's in the Fields, London with his daughters). Daniel married twice - first to Sarah Bishop (died 1794) and then to Elizabeth Cope (married 1795, died 1838). By the second wife, he had Frederick, another pawnbroker, who was born 31 December 1818, baptised 3 March 1820 at St George the Martyr, Southwark. Fredk died 28 January 1882 aged 63 having married my husband's distant Turner cousin Amelia in 1843 (she died a widow in 1907 aged 86). Their children were Frederick Edward (1845 - 1846), Edward born 1846, Frederick c 1848 - died 1850 and Amelia 1850, ?living 1891. Edward (yet another pawnbroker) was born 22 October 1846 in Southwark and died 4 December 1888 having married Jane Watkins on 4 December 1872. Their children were: Frederick Edward born 8 March 1874, Herbert Charles born 20 February 1875, Gifford born 9 February 1877, PERCY GEORGE born 2 September 1879 and Jennie Evelyn born 30 March 1884. Amelia Turner was the daughter of Edward William Turner and I can tell you some more about the Turner family; I also have a little more detail about the Folkard family - perhaps we can exchange e-mail or postal addresses so that I can send you a pedigree. |
