I am in a delima I have a man named Henry Mitchum/Mitcham/Mitchem His brother's and sisters used many variations including Meachum and Meacham Henry as best we can guess was born abt 1804 in Lincoln Co NC he moved to GA He appears on the 1841 Tax Digest as a Tax defaulters in Carroll Co GA (Source Carroll County Genealogical Quarterly (975. 839 D25c Vol. 13--Summer 1992) along with his brother Bartlett Crowder Mitchum listed as Bartly and Henry Micham On 11 Oct 1843 Carroll Co GA he married one Elizabeth Crawford In Dec 1843 his name appears in Catawba Co NC Excerpt from records of Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, Catawba County, North Carolina, December 1843: (Caption of Case): JOSEPH STAMEY VS: NATHAN MICHAM LAWSON MICHAM LOGAN MICHAM BANKS MICHAM MURREL MICHAM JOHN MICHAM HENRY MICHAM AARON MICHAM JOSHUA MICHAM HEIRS HENRY JOHNSON and wife, SALLY DANIEL LYNN and wife, JAMIMA and NARCISSA MITCHEM, heirs-at-law of NATHANIEL MICHAM This means that Henry was alive at least till DEC 1843 Nathaniel Mitchum married Jemima Reynolds LC NC this was Henry's parents. After this we find no reference to Henry nor his wife anywhere. Can someone kindly tell me if their is any Mitchum's listed in Carroll Co GA cemeteries. Please if you dont mind can you check variation spellings and if you find any Henry or Elizabeth Mitchell who might match I would like their information WE dont know when or where Elizabeth was born or who where her parents.
