Rev War Soldier Peter Helton came to Carroll Co. GA in the 1840-50. We are looking for descendants. His brother Abraham married Katie Owl and settled in Lumpkin Co. GA. Peter's family settled in TN and now have connections in Ark. His son Daniel Smith Hilton went west with the Cherokee Nation with the Treaty Party. This would have been 1829 from Mouse Creek TN. This family has DNA tested Native American. Would like to find anyone doing research on this family or knows the linage from Peter to living Helton's or Hiltons. blessings Mike Helton
