I have posted several times about the Bells who are buried in the old Jordan cemetary. I am still trying to find out the maiden name of my gr.gr.gr. grandmother buried there. Her name was Mary Bell married to John Bell. I need to know her maiden name. Some researchers have said that her maiden name was Green. Then a few months ago I saw an old obit from a newspaper in Carroll county and it stated that she was the daughter of Shadrack Rogers. She was born around 1773/4 and died in 1883/4. Her daughter (my gr.gr. grandmother), also named Mary Bell is buried there in the Jordan cemetary and this Mary was married to James Boatright in Coweta co. Ga. in 1847. I found information where a Shadrack Rogers was married to a Celia Jordan and I thought this might tie in with them being buried in the Jordan cemetary. If any one knows anything about any of these people, I would appreciate hearing from you.
