Hi Dan. I am great friends with Bob Neely Sr. of Fayettville and his son Robert. I have done some work on the Neely line but am at a stand still. What I am looking for is the Great Grandfather of Cornelius A. What I have so far is his Father was John H. Neely born 1856 Died about 1879 when Cornelius was born. Can't find a burial place or much more information than the census and his marriage license to Catherine Ayers. I have traced him back to William F or Lewis Neely and Malinda Williams. Bob had told me that his Father Russell did not know his Grandfather's name. I am looking for the link between John's line and the well documented Revolutionary war Neely buried there in Sharpsburg near where Mike and Betty live. Please email me at vancraven@bellsouth.net.
