Hi: It was good to hear from you. My Cynthia Matilda Davis was born Aug 1825 and died Nov 1903. James and Matilda were married 02 Dec 1846 in Tallapoosa Co., Alabama. They are both buried in at Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church, in Carrollton, Carroll Co., GA I have found much to my surprise that Matilda was a popular name for the DAVIS name. They could be related by I am still looking. James Jenkins CARTER is the son of James Wailes Carter and Elizabeth Malor, James Wailes is the son of David Cater CARTER and Lacy Wailes. I cannot find where they are buried or much more on them.
