The earliest record found for JAMES ELIAS TINER, born 1804 Laurens Co SC, is his 30 January 1834 marriage to SARAH MOON in Hall County GA. He has not been found by name as household head in 1830, indicating he may have resided in his parents' household. He was in Mississippi by 1840 where he lived in Lafayette County as did John F. Tiner, likely Elias's brother. Suggestions welcome as to Tiner/Tyner families of 1834 Georgia who could have been Elias's family and Moon families who could have been Sarah's family.
