Nancy Ann Smart,1772-18??, was the daughter of James Smart and Piety Ledbetter, originally Stafford Co., VA. She married James Bennet Sudduth around 1790 in Lincoln CO., GA. They had five children: Bersheba, Richard Parham,David Burton, Jared Smart, and James Smart Sudduth.

James Sudduth died early 1802 whereupon Nancy married Benjamin Stone before Oct. 1802 when she settled the estate of James Sudduth. She and Benjamin had possibly six children: Elizabeth and George Washington Stone were bound out by the courts so we know they are definitly their children. Others include: Mary "Polly" Sudduth Stone (born early 1803),Martha Ann, Nancy Delilah, and Chaney Barton Warren Stone (b. 1813)

Nancy's Sudduth sons moved to Tuscaloosa Co., AL before 1820. So must have Nancy and Benjamin with the other children because Elizabeth and Geo. Wash. Stone were in Tuscaloosa court records in 1821. Benjamin must have died shortly after arriving in the new land, around 1820. All the other Stone children listed married in Tuscaloosa Co., Al. and are on record there.

It is thought that Benjamin Stone is buried near Moore's Bridge, AL. Does anyone know WHERE he is buried? And whne did Nancy die, where did she die?

Help is greatly appreciated.
