Presently I am searching for anyone that is related to the following:

Peter & Sarah Hammond, came from Germany, settled in the Hummelstown, Dauphin County, PA., area. They were the parents of Jacob Hammond born April 12, 1924 near Strasburg, Franklin Cty. PA. Jacob had a brother, Peter. Jacob married a girl named Sarah, daughter of Benjamin Rinker. Together they gave birth to Martin; Calvin Sept. 10, 1842; Melissa E. July 1841; Peter; Mariah E. May 19, 1854; Mary Margaret June 12, 1859; Benjamin; Elender Dec. 13, 1846; and Sarah Martha May 9, 1858.

After Sarah (Rinker) passed away in 1862, Jacob remarried Rebecca, daughter of William & Jane (Martin) Booth. Together they had Robert P. Feb. 6, 1861; John M. Feb. 19, 1862, Hannah J. Apr. 10, 1863; Samantha B. Jan. 28, 1865; Rhoda J. Apr. 30, 1866; William E. Dec. 17, 1867; Harrison A. May 22, 1870; Elliott H. Apr. 18, 1872; and Louiza A. Nov. 11, 1873.

Peter is, according to records, my great, great, great grandfather, Jacob is my great, great, grandfather, and John is my grandfather. John's middle letter was "M or Mc" born, Feb. 19, 1862. Some where along the line, the spelling was changed from Hammond to Hamman, and as recent as 1967 on of my uncles kept the spelling Hammond while he was teaching in the Southern Huntington County School District.

I have some other information but will share later. Any one who has information on the above please contact me @ 814-619-0008 or e-mail me.
