Searching for John Reeves, born ca. 1852 to Thomas Jefferson Reeves and Mary Buckner Reeves in either Talbot or Taylor County, GA. Johns middle initial may be an "L". He is listed on the 1860 census of Talbot County, GA. as eight years old and the middle initial in his name looks like an "L" or "J" or "T". John had two brothers; Wiley Buckner Reeves and Edward Lafayette Thomas Reeves. He had two sisters; Elizabeth Reeves Melvin and Martha Dranny Reeves Byers. John's two brothers, Wiley and Edward, came to Houston County Texas and are buried there. According to one of my aunts (now deceased), John came to Houston County,Texas and visited one time.
