I am a descendent of Gilbreath's in California. My maternal grandfather was Melvin Clay Gilbreath, born 04/10/1910 in Los Angeles, CA; died 09/01/1987 in Bakersfield, CA-he was cremated. He married Dorothy Patience Berkley. His father was Clay Gilbreath (no middle name), he was born 08/08/1884 in Honey Grove, TX; died 08/09/1957 in Morro Bay, CA-also buried there. Clay was married to Mary Lenore MacWilliams who was born in Iowa. I don't have specific dates for her birth & death. I just recently began researching my family tree.
