It looks as if there were two anthropologists called Pliny Earle Goddard. One died 12 Jul 1928 (Wikipedia). However there are citations with publication dates in the 1930s 7 I saw a reference to the name with a context of 1960. I can't imagine these as being other than father and son and presumably the latter would have been your aunt's husband. Try Google! Ian
