Some years ago Mary Goddard posted the following entry on a Thornton Family Forum. I would like to share information with Mary. Surnames: GODARD GODDARD THORNTON Submitter: Mary Goddard (Mari3243@aol.com) Date: 23 Nov 1998 Hi: I am researching the Godard (Goddard) family of primarily Monroe County, Ga. I have found record of an ancestor in Pike County, Ga. The 1850 census lists Frederick Goddard (b.1820) and his wife Elizabeth A. Thornton (b.1826) living in the household of Wiley and Susan Thornton. If anyone else is researching this family, please contact me. I will be glad to share information!! Thanks. Mary
