I have never ventured into Canadian research, and could use some help on how to find what resources are online, to start with. I have no idea if any Canadian census or tax lists data is out there. I couldn't find any for the time period I'm interested in. I'm thinking my line might have been part of the ones who ditched the US in those Revolutionary times, or were fur traders. And then returned. Cuz they are not wanting to be found, and trust me, I've scoured in depth, pretty search engine savvy. Any clues to share? I am barking up this tree now... From below, I'd like to work on who that Clarinda Goddard is and who she married. From the 1880 census of Hazleton, Buchanan, Iowa Aaron GODARD Self M Male W 47 CAN Farmer CAN CAN Fidelia GODARD Wife M Female W 36 WI Keeping House NY NY Anson GODARD Son S Male W 17 IL At Home CAN WI Allice GODARD Dau S Female W 14 IL At Home CAN WI Emma GODARD Dau S Female W 11 WI At Home CAN WI Mary GODARD Dau S Female W 6 IA CAN WI Clarinda GODARD Mother W Female W 69 CAN No Occupation MA MA Thanks for any clues! |
