Finally I have found the birth place of my husbands grandfather on the 1911 Census : James Goddard Head Married 29 Farm Shepherd/Rawcliffe,Yorks. Agnes Goddard wife married 23 Kippax, Yorks Ivy Goddard daughter 3 Bramham, Yorks Henry Goddard son 7mths Bramham, Yorks His marriage took place at the Church of All Saints, Bramham, Yorks 19th Oct 1907 James Goddard 25 Lab Father James Lab Agnes Brooks 20 father James witness /Ritchard Cass/Blanche Townend. but still no luck searching a birth certificate for James. It was very interesting to read of the early Goddards in Cowick, Snaith Parish, in a previous message, as Rawcliffe I believe would be in the Snaith Parish district.
