Hello I am looking for info on Al and Mary Ostrander Hackett. I dont know who Al Parents were but Mary Ostrander parents were Thomas Eugene Ostrander and Anna M Dovark Ostrander. I have come across a obit to a child of theirs if this helps. Al Contacted me about 2 years ago and never heard from him again. Here is the Obit. McConnell, Virginia L. MINERAL POINT - Virginia L. McConnell, age 71, of Mineral Point, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 2, 1935, the daughter of Al and Mary (Ostrander) Hackett. She married George "Gus" McConnell on July 18, 1953. She worked for the Mineral Point School District as a cook for more than 25 years. Virginia enjoyed reading and cooking, and spending time with her family. Survivors include five children, Betty (Nick) Weier of Mineral Point, Connie (Steve) Anderson of Middleton, George (JuLee) McConnell, Patty (Wendell) Hamlin and Tim (Penny) McConnell, all of Mineral Point; 10 grandchildren, Allan Weier, Michael Weier (Emily), Tara and Ashlee Anderson, Ryan (Mindy Burbach) McConnell, Becky (Ryan Lindberg) Hamlin, Maggie (Jake Sanchez) Hamlin, David Hamlin, Jaylene and Teagan McConnell; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Hogan-Weier, Casin Weier, Dakota Sanchez and baby Lindberg due at anytime; and two brothers, Tom (June) Hackett of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Al (Mary) Hackett of Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gus on Oct. 7, 1978; a sister, Donna Cutler; parents-in-law, George and Maggie McConnell; and sister and brother-in-law, Charlie and Ruby Nichols. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME. The family would like to thank the staff of the Mineral Point Care Center, Teri Steinhoff of Upland Hills Hospice and Dr. Aaron Dunn for the loving care they gave to mom. We would also like to thank Marie Deutsch, Evelyn Sommer, and Amy Shea for checking on mom while she was living at the West Commerce Street apartments.
