Edith: I'm so happy to hear from you. Until recently, the Hamlett-Harvey side of my family had been my brick wall for almost two years. My father had spelled his grandmother''s last name as Hamlet on his father's death certificate. I had not thought to check another spelling of the name. Another source who is researching my Harvey-Hamlett line for a client, recently contacted me and gave me some more family names, but spelled the name Hamlett with a double "tt". That is when I looked on the surname board of Hamlett (in addition to Hamlet), where I found your posts to Ellen about "my" Hamlett family. So you are tracing a double Hamlett line! That must really be confusing! I'm trying to figure how we are related, and If I have figured right, Thomas Hamlett and Nancy Johnson are my 2nd great grandparents and your 3rd great grandparents.
