I am the great-granddaughter of Mary Agnes Bell (nee Hannan). She was born in Glasgow in 1889, but I don't know her parents' names. I know she had at least five sisters and a brother. Just today, I found online the obituary of Mary T (Molly) Monahan, who was the daughter of Sarah Monahan (nee Hannan). She was born in Glasgow in January, 1923, lived in Rhode Island most of her life and died in Englewood, FL. I'd like to know my great-grandmother's connection to the Hannan family, as I know she married my great-grandfather Walter George Bell in 1911 in Nelson, BC, moved to Vancouver, BC and had four daughters, after converting at some point to Protestantism. If there was a schism in the family, I'd love to know what happened. They were a very secretive family (including my mother, her sister and their cousin - now all deceased as of this past Dec) and my remaining few cousins and I know NOTHING of our family history! It's very frustrating! Any help would be appreciated!
