Hi Just a follow up about the Sarah Harrigan who married a Lacey. I'm not sure it is the right ones but there was a Sarah Harrigan (from Ballycastle, N.Ireland) who married a Joe Lacey (from Kildare, S.Ireland). I don't have to hand the year they were married but their only child, a daughter - is still alive and now living in Ipswich. I have direct ancestoral links to both Sarah and Joe independent of each other. Sarah's father - James Harrigan is the brother of Mary-Jane Harrigan who is my grandfathers mother. She married a William Dobbin. Mary-Jane and William had four children - Mary, Matilda, William and James. James is my grandfather. He married Bridget Mcmanus (originally from Cavan). They had four children - Mary, William, James and Michael. Mary is my mother. Joe Lacey is the brother of my grandmother - Bridget Lacey. She married Edward Whyte (from Kildare) and they had two children - Maureen and Eamonn. Eamonn is my father. Mary and Eamonn had two children - myself and Geraldine. Geraldine is now married to Patrick Boyle (from Donegal) and they have two children - Mary-Bridget and Michael. Maureen (my father's sister) married a Harrigan - Bernard. Bernard is the son of James and Dorothy Harrigan. James was the brother of Sarah Harrigan - where this email began! Monica Whyte |
