While attending the 1977 HFA meeting in Asheville, NC on October 8-9, 1977. Joann Smith showed me a picture and article pertaining to Leander Higdon, my grandfather. He was sitting in a chair and it was apparent he had a straight leg. The article, I think, was published in the Sunday morning (October 9) paper from Asheville Citizen Times. I have misplaced my copy of this article and would very much appreciate any info anyone may offer regarding obtaining another copy. I have tried to get the article from the library archive of the newspaper, but have been unsuccessful. Thank you. Julia McCartha
