Hi, My aunt was named Ernestine Higdon Jernigan Diard b. abt 1900. She was b. in Fl and died in Al. I do not know excately how, but I know my mother was related to the Higdon's as it is so unusual for someone to have the middle name of Higdon. My mother's middle name was Hampton, so I believe that could of been a family name also. I believe that is how their children were named years ago. Having their middle names for family names. Some people do it today, but not as much, I don't believe. Do you recognize any of these names? Jernigan, Hampton, Taylor, Thompson, or Mccall. Also the Malone's of Fl. I have search for years for some of these names. They were from Santa Rosa County Fl and south Al. Thanks |
