I would like to propose, as a THEORY (requiring more research to prove or disprove), that Margaret (maiden name unknown???), the wife of the Joseph Hickson (also Hixon and Hixson) who was a son of William and Mary (Patterson) Hickson, early Quakers at Crosswicks Creek, Burlington County, New Jersey, was the Margaret Merrill born to William and Grace (Stout) Merrill of Hunterdon.

Joseph and Margaret reportedly named a daughter Grace, and I believe she was named for her maternal grandmother, Grace (Stout) Merrill.

Joseph and Margaret had children in the approximate time of 1710 to 1730.

Does anyone have any alternative information or ideas about the identity of Margaret? Please contact me directly at duaneaboggs@hotmail.com.
