In some of my Prairie City families' census records, they are sometimes listed as residing in Prairie City, WARREN Co., IL, and at other times in Prairie City, MCDONOUGH Co., IL. Was Prairie City located in BOTH these counties, or was it changed from one county to another on a certain date? Could someone please enlighten me?
