Judy, you have been very helpful. I haven't been able to access the 1870 census for Grant County, Arkansas, and so I haven't been able to check the record you saw. Would you be kind enough to tell me James' younger sister's name and year of birth if you have it? And if they have middle initials that would help, too. Thanks, again! Jay
