HI! I'm looking for info about Jenks and Wards in the Evansville Indiana area. I know we connect with the four Jenks brothers that settled in the area, but am not sure how. :) Our info begins with Maud Jenks. Maud may be a nickname but we are not sure. As far as we know, she was born January 4 1980 - either in KY or Indiana and died in Evansville in March of 1983. She married Frank P Ward and had two children: - James Earl Ward born May 21 1921: He married a woman named Helen, divorced, and later married Wanda Lee Newcom and left the Evansville area. - Delora was born in 1915: Delora married Robert Etheridge. Maude married a man named Taylor after Frank Ward's death. I remember hearing stories when I was growing up, about a Nettie Lucinda (not sure of the last name) who married a man named harry and moved to Kansas, and an Irene Burke who I think was a dancer in actress/dancer in early Hollywood. Both Delora and James died fairly young and we have lost track of both the Ward the Jenks lines. if you have any info I'd love to hear from you!
