I am trying to trace a family line by the name of Keisjer, sometimes spelled Keyser, who MAY HAVE emigrated to Kalamazoo, Michigan. Marie Vandercamp (VanderKamp) was married to Arij (Orrie) Keisjer on 11-6-1836 in Zuid Holland, Netherlands, and she emigrated to New Jersey in 1873 with two children. She may have eventually come to Kalamazoo as well. I haven't been able to locate her in America. The Swierenga List of Immigrants said she was going to New Jersey but her daughter lived in Kalamazoo and she may have eventually gone there. Marie's husband was the son of Arij Jansz Keijser. Her daughter, Dena, was born in Zuid Holland, on 8-31-1852, and she married Hendrik Mosselman on 9-19-1872 in Stad aan't Haringvliet, Zuid Holland. They emigrated with Hendrik's father, Iman, in 1873 to Kalamazoo.

Marie and Orrie also had a son, Hein, b. c. 1855 in the Netherlands, who emigrated with Dena in 1873. If this line sounds like we're related, contact me via email. thanks.
